Elsie Ella Lee married Henry William Robinson (Victorian Railways employee) on the 18 Apr 1914, at the Church of Our Lady Help of Christians, North Fitzroy. Their marriage notice lists Elsie Ella's parents as of (664) Station St, North Carlton. Elsie & Henry would live with her parents address for the next few years before moving to Dandenong c1916.

By the 1921 Henry & Elsie lived at 40 Harold St, Thornbury not far from Elsie Lee's mother Esther Lee (McLaughlin) who lived nearby at 412 St George's Rd, Thornbury in the 1930's.
However because of Henry's railway employment they moved & lived in Traralgon, Victoria from about 1924 to 1927. Their daughter Marie was born there in 1925.
During the late 1920's they moved back to Thornbury about the time their youngest son Lawrence John was born in Carlton in 1927. Thornbury would be their home for about the next 20 years up until the late 1940's when Elsie Ella's husband Henry's was advised by his doctor that a seaside living would be good for Henry's poor health as a result of WWI "Mustard Gas" poisoning. He bought land & built at 8 Morris St, Tootgarook (now Rye) in the 1950's just around the corner from his son-in-law (& their good friend) Dick Beagley who had married his daughter Marie Robinson. The Beagley's were living at 45 Wilkinson St Rye, Victoria after they advertised that they were seeking land at Dromana, or Rye near Beach - Write to Beagley - 40 Harold St, Thornbury on 30 March 1949.
