Alice was born in 1860 at Campbelltown, New South Wales, Australia. She was a daughter of Christopher Lee and Margaret McCelligatt.^[1]

She married John Cunningham in 1878.^[2] Whilst they had three daughters, only one lived beyond infancy.

She passed away in 1900, at Cargo, south-west of Orange in western New South Wales.^[3]
