Double funeral services for Mrs. Vesta Lee Hall, 41, and her six-year-old daughter, Ilene who were killed in an auto crash in California will be at 2 o’clock this afternoon in the Clever Methodist Church. The services originally were scheduled for yesterday afternoon but were postponed after the bodies were delayed enroute to Clever. The Rev. Gordon Lokey will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Carmel cemetery under the direction of Wilburn Maples of Clever.
Vesta Lee was born Dec. 14, 1896, and died Dec. 30, 1936, aged 41 years and 16 days. Ileen Hall was born Nov. 26, 1930, and died Dec. 30, 1932, aged six years one month and four days. Double funeral services were held at the Methodist church in Clever Friday, Jan. 8, with Rev. Gordon Lokey of Republic and Rev. Young of Clever, officiating. Burial was made in the Mt. Carmel cemetery under the direction of the Wilburn Maples Funeral Home of Clever. Mother and daughter were killed in an automobile accident in California. Surviving the mother are the husband, Aubry Hall, and two sons; Milton and Blaine, her mother, Mrs. Laura Lee of Marionville, two brothers, J.W. Lee of Denver and Ralph Lee of White City, Kans.; three sisters, Mrs. Grace Edwards of Kansas, Martha Lee of California and Bonnie Lee of Mt. Vernon; also two half sisters, Mrs. Sophia Cook of Springfield and Mrs. Jane Ottendorf of Hurley. Surviving the daughter are the father and two brothers, two grandmothers, Mrs. Lee of Marionville and Mrs. Anna Hall of Los Angeles.
