"William and Mary (Marvin) Lee had Thomas, who was a farmer near Hempstead. He was never married. After the death of his brother Joseph, who married Abigail Price, of Hempstead, and died in middle age, he reared the children and became well to do."[1]
"Joseph Lee, the second son of William Lee, had ten children."[2] Sources differ concerning some details for his children:
Joseph Jr: born May 14, 1713, married Sarah WRIGHT Feb. 28, 1733.
Crayon said that Joseph died in 1760, but Bolton said that he died at age 77.
John: baptized at Hempstead Sept. 25, 1726, married Sarah PERRINE, daughter of Capt. Peter
PERRINE and wife Mary. John died at Yorktown, NY, Mar. 12, 1816. Capt. Peter PERRINE was of the "Troop" Staten Island Militia, where he resided.
Thomas: baptized at Hempstead July 1, 1728, married Dinah PERRINE, daughter of Capt. Peter.
She was born at Staten Island 1731, died at Littleton, NJ, 1791. Thomas was a Revolutionary soldier. Thomas died at the residence of his son Maj. William Lee at Littleton, Jan. 7, 1804.
Abigail: died at age 18.
Phebe: Crayon's punctuation suggests that Phebe and Mary are the same person, but
that is probably a typographical error.
Bolton said that Phoebe married Dennis COOMBS in 1744 and died at age 81.
Mary: never married and died at age 64.
Ruth: married Isaac WRIGHT and died at age 84.
Sarah: Crayon said that Sarah married Dennis COOMBS and died at age 80.
Bolton said that Sarah died at age 60.
Hannah: married MARTIN; Crayon said she died at age 84.
Bolton said ANNA died at age 80.
Elizabeth: married MARTINEAU and died at age 80.
