Our vision is to build a collaborative tree with one profile per person. The farther back you go, it's likely you will find duplicate profiles to link into, so it's a good idea to do a search before you create a new profile.
Do you have Royal Ancestors? If so, they are already here! Please contact the EuroAristo Project to discuss connecting your family line to their already existing profiles.
WikiTree strives to be a fun, collaborative, productive site. It's also different than what many people are used to. Please take advantage of the Help Menu in the upper right hand corner, our G2G Forum and of course, our Mentors :)
Do you have any questions I can help with?

Our Honor Code, G2G message forum, help pages, search features, and many other useful links can be accessed from the menus on the upper right corner of most pages.
If you click the 'Find' menu, then select projects, you may find several projects that interest you. It's a way of contacting people who have similar interests.
VERY IMPORTANT: The more documents, sources, dates, and locations you provide on the profiles you create, the stronger your branches and our mutual global tree will be. If you don't know the correct date, please estimate using before or after.
Thank you for helping in our mission to build a global tree with only ONE profile per person.
Hope you enjoy WikiTree!
We live in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia and my family history is primarily Irish. Most of my ancestors came to Australia from Ireland in the early to mid 1800's and have lived around the Ballarat/Melbourne area.
There is still a lot of work to do to research the history of my ancestors in Ireland prior to coming to Australia.
