Biography

Christina was the eldest child of Robert LEES and Isabella FRATER and was born in December 1891 in Morebattle, Roxburgh, Scotland.^[1]

1891 Census - Morebattle Village: Christian [sic] was a nine-year old scholar living with her parents and siblings. Their father was a Master Saddler.^[2]

Marriage:^[3] On 1 December 1905, After Banns according to the Forms of the Church of Scotland: GROOM: Alexander Miller YOUNG, Arts Student in University (bachelor), 26, usual residence 18 Gardners Crescent, Edinburgh, parents Thomas YOUNG retired baker & Ann MILLER. BRIDE: Christina LEES, domestic servant (spinster), 23, of 8 Church-hill, Edinburgh, parents Robert LEES master saddler & Isabella FRATER. C. J. COWAN Minister of Morebattle. Witnesses James COOPER & Janet Frater Hilson Lees [total 2 or 3 witnesses??].

Christina was not at home for the 1921 Census:
At 29 Millar Crescent, Edinburgh (just one of a number of families at that street address), living in 3 windowed rooms:^[5]

When her husband died in 1959, their son, Robert L. YOUNG, of 67 Learmonth Grove, Edinburgh, was the informant for the death registration.

Christina passed away 18 February 1976, in the registration district of Barnet, Greater London, England.^[6]
