When Leah died on 25th February 1883 (in NSW), aged 25 years, it appears that Edward's children may have remained in or returned to NSW to be raised by their maternal grandparents (William and Sarah), as Edward remarried (Florence Peebles, in 1884).
The two children would have been 2 and 5 years old when they returned to the grandparents, To (William) Toseo formerly Seo and Sarah (Sear) Toseo.
Herbert's mother Leah is buried at Muswellbrook Cemetery, Church of England, Section C, Grave No. CE15B/1.
The following mention in a Sydney newspaper appears to refer to Herbert's death:
At Muscle Creek, which is about ten miles distant from Muswellbrook, during the progress of a cricket match on Saturday, a player named Lees, who was batting, received a blow from the ball in the region of the heart. He again took his place at the wicket, but before the bowler delivered the next ball he dropped dead.
Herbert was buried with his mother in the same cemetery plot at Muswellbrook.
