Margaret, the daughter of John Leeson and Elizabeth Bostock was born in 1840 at Codnor, England.^[1]

From Olivia McCabe, 4 Oct 2020: "I have not been able to find any sources for either Burton or Margaret Leeson. Do you know where these profiles came from? At this time I would say evidence suggests that they do no belong to this family and should be disconnected from them."

Update - 5/22/2021 - Searches for Margaret Leeson turned up several things, although there isn't a way to tell which person could be here. There is this record on Ancestry.com: Name: Margery Leeson, Gender: Female, Baptism Date: 7 Dec 1883, Baptism Place: St Matthew, Redhill, Surrey, England, Father: George John Robert Leeson, Mother: Florence Elizabeth, FHL Film Number: 1278893, Ancestry.com. England, Select Births and Christenings, 1538-1975 [database on-line]. Provo, UT, USA: Ancestry.com Operations, Inc., 2014. Original data: England, Births and Christenings, 1538-1975. Salt Lake City, Utah: FamilySearch, 2013. But the birth date is way off.

Another record, which is much more probable, is this one: Name: Wilfred M Leeson, Mother: Elizabeth Leeson, Father: John Leeson, Sibling: Hubert S, Birth: 1847 Finsbury, Surrey, England, Residence: 1861 Chiswick, Middlesex, England. But a search of Google reveals that Codnor is 2 hours from Middlesex.

If you don't check off both parent's names in an Ancestry search, several other Margaret Leesons will appear, but in different shires.

There was a name change for a person in 1849 and 1852 from Leeson to Marshall (can't tell which).
