Leftwich-27 and Leftwich-25 appear to represent the same person because: 25 had been "isaiah". Research yielded information showing his given name was Joel (1900 Census incorectly transcribed as Isaiah). Other details matched those of 27.

Leftwich-27 and Leftwich-25 do not represent the same person because: I think they are separate people, we have so many Leftwiches and these don't even have same first name or parents. I've adopted the orphaned.

Leftwich-27 and Leftwich-25 appear to represent the same person because: 25 ("isaiah") is found only once in records: in the 1900 census. In other records he appears as Joel, with the same family. Other records: 1850, 1870, 1880, 1910 and 1920 Census, FaG and Tennessee Death Record.
