Felicien Leger, born to Joseph Leger and Marie Miller July 28, 1918.
Mr. "Blue" was a native and lifelong resident of Sunset. Self taught, having only attended school to the 5th grade, he farmed and trucked watermelons and sweet potatoes with his brothers, going as far as Beaumont to sell produce door to door. He was the owner of Blue's Bar & Lounge, where he ran an honest game of Bourre and where everyone learned to shoot pool. He was also the owner of Blue's Trailer Park. He never met a stranger without asking, "Who's your daddy?" so that he could figure out how he was related to you. Mr. Blue was very proud that he had traveled as far as Minot, ND to drive trucks back to LA for a trucking company. He was also a driver for Louisiana Wholesale Florist. Felicien was a lifelong member of the Lions Club in Sunset, a member of the Elks Lodge in Opelousas and a parishioner of St. Charles Borromeo Roman Catholic Church.
