Could you please stop editing the proper first names field for Scandinavian profiles.

No middle names were used in Scandinavia until modern times and when you remove one of the given names from the proper first name field and move it to the middle name field you will create an error, editing something that is correct from the beginning, and also the possibility of someone creating a new profile of the same person because you removed one of the given names (so it can not be searched for).

I am sorry, I am working on Suggestion 853 Clean Gedcom Junk and am using the app AGC. I guess the app is splitting the names into first and middle name. I really don't know which ones are Scandinavian profiles. This may be something which needs to be discussed with the app builder.

If you will explain to me how to determine which profiles are Scandinavian, I will try to avoid them. Are these your profiles or are you speaking in general. If they are your profiles, you could go to the menu at the top of the page, click on My WikiTree., scroll down to Suggestions , when the Suggestion list comes up click "Profiles (your name) Manage" and clear all the 853 Suggestions.

I am terribly sorry for the inconvenience.

Dear Ms. Corbin,

I still intend to keep my wikitree account and have plans to add more profiles/information when necessary. I have always been an infrenquent user, unfortunately due to the current pandemic I have been even less able to participate in the last year or so, but hopefully in the coming months will soon be able to participate more.

Thank you for contacting me. I have been busy but I still want to stay active with my account. I keep up with my email by phone mostly. I don't have time to work on my account or others during the day . I just need to find time to get more organized and have a better work ethic.

Hi Loretta,

Thank you for the reminder that I have not been active, but I do wish to keep my status as profile manager. Cash has been short and the research I was able to move over from ancestry has been limited. I have info in my files I can update with as well, just a matter of finding the time. I do keep up with my wiki tree feeds on my email. Don't give up on me yet.

Loretta, please don't add claims about Cornblossom and her supposed family to wikitree. We soundly debunked this three years ago after extensive research. You can read our analysis here:

It is unfortunate that Butch Walker included that myth in his otherwise good bio of Doublehead.

Thank you for the information on Cornblossom, I had no idea. I will remove immediately. Thank you again.

Hi, Cuz!

Thank you for your participation in October’s 2020 Source-a-thon. Your contributions helped us to clear over 57,000 profiles that needed sourcing. This makes our Shared Tree all that much better.

Hello, I want to thank you for looking at the Jack family information, I really appreciate it. I have a lot of documentation that I have collected over the years with documents, legal, wills, and mostly the JV Thompson Journals all 27 volumes. The problem is I don't how to site sources on here, and the Jack family has been a very hard family to verify due to such large families dating back to Scotland. Every generation and every brother and sisters usually have the same names. There are so many James, Johns, Matthews, Andrew William, with so many dates, it's just too hard to track it all. But I'm am working on them. Maybe if someone could help me write sources I would really appreciate it. Don't mean to be such a big problem. Thanks again.

Hello, Cousin Loretta!

Thanks for the work you accomplished during our Connect-A-Thon 2020. It is amazing how many more profiles were created and added to our Shared Tree over the weekend. I hope you’ll join us for the Source-a-thon this fall.

Kind regards,

Yes, I have an Ancestry test. As far as I'm concerned, Jonathan b1760 was my earliest Barnard ancestor (my mother's maiden name). I don't pay much attention to this. (My brain is full). I don't know if I'd find any common connections with you even if I knew where to look.

Thank you for your reminder about sources. I have probably adopted more profiles than I can comfortably take care of properly. Even though they are in my lineage, they're also in someone else's who might take better care of them.

I am not adding anyone and will concentrate on going through those already in my care.

Hi Lorette: A note of appreciation for your hard work and contributions to the Fall "Source A Ton" this past weekend. In all you worked on getting our membership list up to date and functioning. You encouraged the team to do the best they can. I know you wish you could have done more profiles but family does take priority. And the weather didn't help either. Anyway,Thank you so much for all you did do representing the Super Sweepers as co-captain. I enjoyed working with you. Keep up the outstanding job in all you do on WikiTree.

Hi Loretta! Just a short note of thanks, and appreciation, for your help during the "connect a thon" this last weekend!! The Super Sweepers made it to tenth place and that was a hard achievement based on the competition going on. Thank you for encouraging the team, offering advice and just hanging in there with us through it all. Just know I am grateful for team members like yourself and your dedication to WikiTree.

Loretta, I accidentally stepped on a profile you had done. I added a source to remove all doubt on the name and gave it a false suggestion. Oops. Hope adding the WWII draft makes up for the faux pas.
