CEMETERIES
I'm always on the look out for family photographs and cemetery records. I work as a Funeral Director and have ample opportunity to access Cemetery Records in and around the Canberra region (in the Australian Capital Territory, Australia).
KINSALE
I cannot proceed any further back than the birth registration for Thomas Leggatt (born in 1795 in Kinsale, Cork, Ireland). I would also like to explore the connection with the Ingleby and Webster families in Bigga and Binda, New South Wales, Australia.
LEGGATT
Leggatt is my surname. My ancestors on the Leggatt side of my family are Anglo-Irish and English. I'd very much like to collaborate with anybody else researching the Leggatt family in Ireland before 1700. Pagett was my mother's maiden name. The Pagett family are of English, Irish and Scottish heritage. The Buddle families relate to the Leggatt family and the O'Leary family around Cowra and Boorowa in New South Wales, Australia.
DNA Tested
Garth Leggatt's DNA has been tested for genealogical purposes. It may be possible to confirm family relationships by comparing test results with Garth or other carriers of his ancestors' Y-chromosome or mitochondrial DNA. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share DNA with Garth:

Hi Garth,

Thanks for having a Big Heart and adopting Orphan Profiles. You will want to read 'After adopting orphans' to understand what to do next.

Hi Garth,

Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz!

Because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, coordinating with others is essential. You can learn more about joining the community in How To #3 and in the Project FAQ.

Based on your tags the Irish Roots Project may fit your research focus. If not, use the Pre-1700 Projects list to review other possibilities. Read the goals and tasks of the projects and join those which are a good fit.

Hello Garth!

You've been a member for a few weeks so I thought I would check in to see how it's going. Have the How-Tos been helpful or left you with questions? Most of us have questions after all that information!

I want to help! Click my name, send me a private message or ask in the comment section of my page. Sometimes links don't work in emails. If that's happened to you, check the public comments on your profile. The links will work from there.

Cindy ~ WikiTree Messenger

PS To find reliable sources for your profiles, go to the Family Tree & Tools tab; select Genealogy Research and scroll down near the bottom of that list and select Research with RootsSearch. There are over 20 websites to access from there.

Welcome Garth

I am pleased to confirm you as a full member, and welcome you to the WikiTree family, your contributions will go a long way to joining the world together.

I would suggest starting with the New Member How-To pages, they will save you a lot of time and frustration.

I am here to answer any question you have, no matter how trivial you may think it is. There is no such thing as a silly question. Please add as much information as you can, it all helps to turn a “name” back into a person. I hope you enjoy the site

Happy tree climbing
