Floyd trained horses in Nova Scotia for WWI. He and his family lived in Portland with his Wife's sister Carrie when they initially arrived in the U.S. For a short time he repaired automobiles in Portland. He purchased a small farm in Gray, Maine where he raised chickens for the eggs. Twice a week Elizabeth would fill the trunk of their old gray fastback Chevy with eggs (mostly brown) and her gladiolas to sell on her egg route.

I visited my great uncle, Floyd Legge, with my grand-mother and my mother, in the 1950's to 1960's. I believe that he lived near Portland, ME.
