Bessie was born in 1930. She was the daughter of Jacob Legge and Lulu Mitchell. She passed away in 2015.

Obituary

Bessie Norena Peddle, 85, of Gander, NL, passed away Wednesday, February 25, 2015 in the presence of family. She was born January 16, 1930 to Jacob and Lulu Legge. Bessie was a warm and good natured woman quick to share her infectious laugh. She lived a full life and wore many hats: mother, wife, sister, grandmother, entrepreneur, decorator, seamstress, world traveller, animal lover, bowler and devout christian. Her survivors are son David (Madeleine), siblings Violet, Nina and Sandra (Darrell) grandchildren Jennifer (Gent), Laura (Craig), and Michael (Nina), and great grandchildren Liam and Matthew. Preceding Bessie in death, her husband Ambrose, and siblings George, Jean, and Norm. Visitation will be at Stacey's Funeral Home, 60 Roe Avenue, Gander on Friday, February 27, 2015 from 4:30 to 8:00pm. Service to take place 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 28, 2015 at the Salvation Army Citadel, Gander. Interment to follow at all Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Arrangements entrusted through Stacey's Funeral Home, Gander.
