Biography

Filippo lo Liggio is born in Corleone. His parents' names are not yet known.

He marries at least three times, first to Giuseppa. He remarries in Prizzi, where he resides, in the summer of 1669.

No marriage date is associated with this entry in the Corleone matrimonial records. It comes between records dated 8 October and 6 October 1669, and includes dates when banns were posted, in the last week of July 1669. With regard to the marriage of Filippo lo Liggio, widower of Giuseppa, from Corleone and a resident of Prizzi, and Caterina, daughter of the late Antonino Cannaliato and the late Michela, from Prizzi, no impediment is found in Corleone.^[1]

Filippo lo Liggio, widower of Caterina, marries Antonina [Salerno], widow of Maestro Filippo lo Bosco, on 4 January 1674 in Corleone.^[2]

Filippo and Antonina have at least two children: Domenico (c. 1676), and a son who is also named Filippo (c. 1678). Both are born and marry in Corleone.

Domenico marries Vincenza Gennaro on 23 November 1704. His father has died.^[3]

Filippo, the son, marries Angela Ducibella on 29 April 1711.^[4]
