Percy married Anne May Earle Church on 23 Jun 1915 in Queensland, Australia. [3]
Percy William Leigh died on 3 Sep 1951 and was buried in the Mackay City Cemetery Mackay, Mackay Region, Queensland, Australia. [4] [5]
They Had 4 children Reginald Thomas Frederick Leigh 16/02/1915 Mt Morgan, served in WW2 My Grandma Cecil Albert Leigh 9/01/1919 Mt Morgan, served in WW2 And Tom, I have not found any details on Tom yet, not sure where he fits in with the family. Dad told me that Tom and his Dad Percy were both in the merchant marines for the USA but I have never found anything on this.
All Gerties brothers died before Gertie. I think they all died from heart problems including Gertie as she had a heart attack at home.

The weekly sitting of the Warden's Court was held this morning before the Acting Warden, Mr R. Power. Alfred Gabriel Kirk and Percy William Leigh each applied for a miner's homestead lease situated near miner's homestead lease No. 2874, Moongan. Mr. G. Kirk appeared for the applicants. The Warden said that he would submit the applications for ap-proval. Jane Courtenay applied for the forfeiture of residence area No. 313, Tip-perary Flat, owing to the residence condi-tions not having been complied with, and for registration of it as a miners hone stead lease. Jlr. J. D. Murray appeared for tho applicant. Roy McKnight, clerk in the employ of Curtis and . Knight, gave evidence as to the necessary formali-ties having been complied with. The War-den cancelled the residence area.
