Biography
Whirmill Leigh had 22 children : 12 with his first wife Deniah Dodson and 10 with his second wife Mary Jane Pierce. The names of the children of Whirmill and Mary Jane Pierce were: Josephine, Van Doren, Moses, Benjamin, Thomas, Gilbert, George, Tilford,Tillman and Emma Leigh.

Whitmill Leigh was taken from N C to TN when he was 7 or 8 years old. He lived there until 1840. On Jan 11, 1831 in Maury Co, TN he married Deniah Dodson. They had 12 children. They were farmers. After Deniah's death, Whitmill married Mary Jane Pearce. They had 10 children.
