Biography
Alfred Thomas Leighty [1] [2] was born on December 24, 1865 [2] in Robinsonville, Bedford County, Pennsylvania [2].
He was the son of Henry Leighty [2] and Rebecca Deneen [2].
Alfred married Eveline Apple about 1887 [3].
Alfred and Eveline had three children:
- George Henry Leighty
- Alfred Howard Leighty
- Emma Eveline (Leighty) Ditto [1]
In October 1893, Alfred was named as the father on Emma Leighty's birth record. At that time, he was a resident of Cross Roads, Morgan County, West Virginia and was employed as a laborer. [1]
Alfred's second wife was named Margaret [maiden name unknown], whom he married about 1893.
Alfred died at the age of 71 on July 20, 1937 [2] in Orleans Cross Roads, Morgan County, West Virginia [2].
He was buried in Mount Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery in Orleans Cross Roads, Morgan County, West Virginia [2].
