My grandmother was Canadian, descended from loyalists as well as framers who left New Jersey when it became too crowded.
I enjoy researching info and correcting errors. (Gives me a minute or two to feel smart)
Dempsey is my mother's maiden name, her ancestors were famine Irish who arrived in New York Oct 30, 1848.
My Canadian grandmother, Ada Hunt, is a descendant of Ralph Hunt who settled in Long Island in 1656.
My grandmother Hunt was Canadian. Most of her ancestors were from New York and New Jersey. I'm interested in working with anyone who has ancestors that were early settlers of New Jersey and Long Island.
Several of my ancestors, both English and Dutch settled in Middleburg and other Long Island towns while they were part of the Dutch colony
I have ancestors who were United Empire Loyalists, including several Millards, Secords, and Jessups.

The Deming babies were never named before they passed away. Please check over the rules regarding if the person died before being named. Guidelines are for naming them as Unnamed Infant. There was no name so the name is not unknown as there was not a name to be unknown.

Hi hun, for babies who are never named, the proper guidelines are unnamed infant. If they have been named but the name can not found it is unknown. The babies you changed should be unnamed infant as they were never given a name.

Hello Martha,

Although it is marked " Uncertain ", according to the Relationship Finder we are 17th Cousins, 3xs removed. Henry Greene is my 16th GGrandfather and you're 19th. My Maternal Ancestors settled in the Fairfield / Redding area as early as 1640 or so. I am descended from / related to Couchs', Andrews, Cranes' and Wheelers' Families so we may actually be much more closely related. That would be wonderful.

Thank you for sharing family information

Hi Martha,

Greg Lavoie, Dave Rutherford and I have put a lot of work into restructuring the Canada Project. Have a look at the new project page.

You'll see that we've changed the project name to the Canada Project and the badge will be changed shortly. We've done this in order to provide lots of ways for people to contribute to Canadian Profiles. We've also moved towards a team approach with top level teams being lead by Project Coordinators and sub-teams being lead by Team Leaders.

Would you like to continue in the Canada Project, and if so, which team(s) would you like to be on?

Let me know if you have any questions. Once I hear back from you I'll add you to the Google group and get you set up in your team(s).

Hello, regarding your merge of two Samuel chamberlains, I am double checking that a second Samuel Chamberlain different wife was not a reason for two samuels.
