BARTONVILLE - Joyce Y. Bouchez, age 81, of Bartonville passed away Friday, Nov. 17, 2017, at 4:21 p.m. at UnityPoint Health-Methodist in Peoria.
She was born on Aug. 13, 1936, in Hollis Township to Frank and Nellie (Whites) Leitner. They preceded her in death, along with two brothers, Lawrence and Owen Leitner; and two sisters, Barbara Ashby and Patricia Guppy.
Survivors include five children, Jack (Melinda) Bouchez of Titusville, FL, Jean Bouchez of Bartonville, Julia Bouchez of Bartonville, Joseph (Cindy) Bouchez of Dawsonville, GA, and Jeffrey Bouchez of Bartonville; four grandchildren, Sarah (Lacy) Taylor of Mims, FL, John "Pete" (Lisa) Bouchez of Havana, Joe (Melissa) Bouchez of Dawsonville and Jason Bouchez of Dawsonville; and nine great-grandchildren.
Joyce worked for International Paper for 26 years, retiring in 1993. She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Bartonville.
Visitation will be Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2017, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel. A prayer service will be Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. at the funeral home. A funeral Mass will be Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2017, at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Bartonville. Additional visitation will be one half hour prior to the services at church. Fr. David Heinz will officiate. Burial will be in Lancaster Cemetery in Glasford. Memorials may be made to St. Anthony Catholic Church.
