Biography

Gregoire Lejeune is on the Wall of Names at the Acadian Memorial in St. Martinville, Louisiana Plaque 6-Right, Le Bon Papa. Listed with him is his wife Elenne Dumon, three children: Gregoire, Julien and Marie; and Marie Genevieve Gotreau, a niece. [1]

Julien Lejeune was born in 1783. He is the son of Gregoire Lejeune and Hélène Dumont.[2]

Julien LEJEUNE, age 2, traveling with his father Grégoire LEJEUNE and wife Hélène DUMONT, and two other children, plus his cousin Marie Geneviève GAUTROT, age 19, as the 20th family (of 6 persons) aboard "Le Bon Papa."

Julien (24) married Elisabeth Gibson (born 1793) in Baton Rouge, West Florida, Viceroyalty of New Spain, daughter of William Gibson and Mary McHenry around 1808 in Louisiana, Orleans Territory. Their children were:

In the 1810 census and [9]in the 1820 census Julien was in West Baton Rouge, Louisiana, United States.[10]
