Biography

Mary J. Leland was born circa 1836 at New York, USA. She appeared on the census of 15 July 1850 in the household of her parents, Uriah Leland and Maria (Chamberlain) Leland, at Eaton, Madison Co., New York.^[1]

She married Hezekiah P. Mead circa 1860. ^[2]

She and Hezekiah appeared on the census of 19 July 1870 in the household of her mother at Eaton, Madison Co., New York. ^[3]

Mary died on 3 April 1881 at New York and was buried at Morrisville Rural Cemetery, Morrisville, Madison Co., New York.^[2] Her memorial has a photos of a beautiful stone monument.^[4]
