Biography

Etta Jane Leland was born on 23 May 1864 at New York, USA.[1] She appeared on the census of 4 Aug. 1870 in the household of her parents, Uriah A. Leland and Catherine (Mack) Leland, at Sangerfield, Oneida County, New York.[2] She appeared on the census of 3 June 1880 in the household of her parents at Sangerfield, Oneida Co., New York.[3]

She married Edgar A. Eaton, son of Amos C. Eaton and Eugene S. (Howard) Eaton, circa 1899. [4]

She and Edgar appeared on the census of 4 June 1900 at 25 School St., Brunswick, Cumberland Co., Maine.[4] She and Edgar appeared on the census of 15 April 1910 at Brunswick, Cumberland Co., Maine.[5] Edgar died in 1915 and Etta moved to live with her brother Frank. She appeared on the census of 9 Jan. 1920 with Frank at Saint Louis, Saint Louis Co., Missouri. [6] She was a cake maker at General Hotel when she appeared on the census of 8 April 1930 with Frank at 905 Seward, Los Angeles, Los Angeles Co., California. [7] She was a home cake baker when she appeared on the census of 9 April 1940 with Frank at 4611 Melrose, Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, California. [8]

Etta died on 7 Oct. 1958 at Los Angeles Co., California,[1] at age 94 and was buried at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Glendale, Los Angeles County, California. Her memorial hs the dates of her birth and death.[9]
