When Henry Clay Leman was born in August 1866, his father, Moses, was 31 and his mother, Mathilda, was 23.^[1] He married Florence Simon on February 12, 1896, in Manhattan, New York^[2]. They had one child during their marriage. He died in 1944 in New York at the age of 78.
