Biography
When Marie Jeanne Lemay was born in October 1869 in Quebec City, Quebec, Canada, her father, Leon, was 45, and her mother, Philomene, was 30. She married Clarence L. Schelling on March 10, 1891, in Amesbury, Massachusetts[1] and they moved across country to California before 1900.[2] They had six children but two died before 1910.[3] She died on September 5, 1938, in Alameda, California,[4]
