Biography

Delilah Lemon was born in 1820.

She (as "Delila Lemon") married Philip Macklem (as "Philip M. Clem") on 10 October 1844. The marriage was performed by Henry Gillmore, a likely-itinerant Methodist Episcopalian ("M. E.") minister who performed a number of marriages throughout the Home and Gore districts of Canada West during 1844. However, the marriage was by banns, implying there was a local church they attended where the banns would have been read. The witnesses were Jacob Prine and George Lemon.^[1] This George Lemon was probably Delilah's father.

She passed away in 1849. ^[2]
