Biography
Peter was born in 1825. His parents were Jacob C Lenhart and Lydia (Sprinkle) Lenhart.
He married (1) Mary Louise Bartley. [1] She was born in Bern, Switzerland.
In 1860 they were living in Ohio with their first two children and a Mary A Lenhart aged 15 born in Ohio. [2] They had five children:
- Jacob Emanuel b 29 Apr 1855
- Edwin Cyrus b 29 Apr 1858; d 22 Mar 1862
- Francis Edgar b 28 Aug 1863; d 24 Jan 1865
- William Otto b 19 Jul 1866 m Lillie Firestone
- Charles Ellsworth b 2 Feb 1870 [3] m M.E. Smith
In 1870 he was living in Ohio with his wife Louisa and three children: Jacob, William and Ellsworth. [4]
In 1880 Peter and Mary were living in Ohio. Their 10 year old son Charles was living with them. [5]
Their son William married in 1891. [6]
His first wife Mary died in 1891. No source.
He married (2) Emiline Essick in about 1894. She was born in Ohio in Dec 1852. Her parents were Adam Essick and Sarah Metz. [7]
In 1900 he was 75 and living with Emiline in Ohio. The record shows they had been married 6 years. [8]
In 1910 Peter and Emmaline were living in Ohio. [9]
He died in Dec 1910. [10]
Buried in Moultrie Chapel Cemetery, Moultrie, Ohio. [11]
His second wife, Emeline, died in 1928. [7]
