Biography

He was the son of Alwyn the Younger de Levenax, second Earl of Lennox and Eva de Menteith, Countess of Menteith.^[1]

He died after 12 March 1250/1, the date of the last known charter which was a general confirmation of his benefactions to the monastery at Paisley, and before 1270 when his successor appears on record.^[1]

Alternate spellings for his given name were: Maldwin or Malcolm (although he had a later sibling named Malcolm, so this may not be correct.^[1]).
