When John Vernon Lentz was born on March 24, 1927, in Baltimore, Maryland, his father, John, was 40 and his mother, Helen, was 30. He married Shirley Elizabeth Webster on May 12, 1957. They had three children during their marriage. He died on May 21, 2009, in Timonium, Maryland, at the age of 82, and was buried in Parkville, Maryland. ^[1]
