I have been interested in family history for as long as I can remember. Attended my first genealogical conference and began actively researching around 1990. Member and coordinator of the Bartee Name Study Project.
Trusted List Transfers
Due to my activities with the Bartee One-Name Study and other projects such as the US Black Heritage, I tend to manage Profiles for which I have no personal family link. I am happy to turn over the Profile responsibilities to those that have personal interest & knowledge of an Ancestor.

Congratulations on certifying to work on pre-1700 profiles! It’s very important to read and understand the Help:Pre-1700 Profiles page.
Primary sources should always be added to pre-1700 profiles at the time they are created. If you don't have a source for a pre-1700 profile, it would be best to ask for help in the G2G forum before creating the profile.
These profiles for deep ancestors are shared by many, and collaborating on them works best if we all follow the guidelines in the certification quiz.
Ran our DNA & rec'd this msg.: Sorry, no connection was found between Linda and Jenn out to 10 steps. There is one, it's just not on WikiTree yet. Please help grow the family connections of Linda and Jenn until they meet.
Looks like we need to add more data!

I'll get my Murrah ancestry in as soon as possible. I did adopt Lodowick Murrah. Let's hope the new DNA test shows a connection. There is also a Dean on with a Murrah ancestry from Copiah Co. MS. As I recall that would be Charles Murrah, who is also presumably a brother to Thomas and David.
Hi Linda, I noticed you uploaded a GEDCOM. Our process here is a little different than what you might find on other sites because of our goal of growing one worldwide tree with a single profile for each individual. Here's a link to a great step-by-step of the process including screenshots that you might find helpful. You might also want to check out our Before You Import a GEDCOM help page. Feel free to message me if you have any questions!
We're very pleased you decided to join our community and hope you'll have great success in finding cousins with whom to collaborate. In the upper right hand corner, you'll find several drop-down-boxes that will prove very useful to you. You might review the help page before you begin this new adventure. The help pages are filled with answers to many questions you may have. For the health of our shared tree, please add documentation and sources to each profile you create. In order to make it easier to search for duplicates, it's important to add a birth or death date and place to each profile. Please estimate a date if you don't know the exact date. We hope you're experience as a WikiTreer will be very productive.
