Biography
John Leo lived in Mangonui, Northland, New Zealand.
John (known as Jack) Leo was born in 1889 in Mangonui, Northland, New Zealand. He was the son of William Leo and Elizabeth Deane [1].
At the time of his enlistment he was a salesman, and his address was 17 Killey Street, Darlinghurst, Sydney, New South Wales. Unknown if he was married or had any children.
He passed away between on Saturday 27 July 1916 in WWI and is buried at the VILLERS-BRETONNEUX MEMORIAL [2]. A Private in the Army AIF, Australian Infantry, 3 Battalion, son of William and Elizabeth Leo, of 23, Surrey St., Grey Lynn, Auckland, New Zealand. [3]
