García Fernández de León, was born in 1182, the eldest of the three sons of Fernando II de Leon, King of Leon, and Urraca López de Haro.
He died young in 1184 and was buried in the Monastery of San Isidoro, León.
As his parents didn't marry until May 1187 García is considered illegitimate.
