Biography

Charles was the son of John Leonard and Deline Skeele

He married Cynthia L Van Name^[1][2] in 1852

They were the parents of:

He founded the Clinton Herald newspaper by 1860 and served as editor, the first one in the community, still in operation in the 21st century.

Charles daughter Helen was actress Lillian Russell (Actress)^{[10][11] [12]}
