Let's see - as far as my advice for taking advantage of the site - I must admit that it can br frustrating at times to try and get a response from the people on here who make profiles for your relatives. Some people just make profiles or download a huge GEDCOM file and then never check the site again. But - it is nice that you can post messages to people's profiles. Also - if you are thinking about joining Ancestry just to get access to the family trees of Ancestry.com members, an alternative is that you can go to Ancestry's free site for the family trees of their members: mundia.com Let me know if you have any other questions. My name is Maria Leonard. I am from Ireland but live in the UK. I am trying to establish connections with my recently discovered family all across the US. I have traced some of my Irish Genealogy but none of my US Genealogy, but I would absolutely love to establish communications with living relatives, and also give them updates on what has happened with ancestors and living relatives in Ireland.
