The Keep reference, by Best, cites a DOD of 26 March 1676, which was a Sunday, using Julian "Old Style" - Year begins March 25th. The family members were going to church in Springfield.
The Burt reference cites a DOD of 20 May 1676, which was a Saturday, using Julian "Old Style" - Year begins March 25th.
Further evidence that the date of death occurred in March rather than May is cited in History of Hadley, ..., by Sylvester Judd, where he cites A letter from Major Savage [to the Governor's Council], dated at Hadley, March 28, 1676, gives the following account: ^[5], ^[6]
