Mabel Robinson Leonard was born on May 1, 1876, in Brooklyn, Kings County, New York, to Lewis Herman Leonard and Elizabeth DeWitt Robinson[1][2][3][4][5][6].
In 1880, Mabel (age 4), lived at 89 Remsen Street, in Brooklyn, with her father Louis (age 30 - name as spelled in the census and worked as a clerk in stores), her mother Lizzie (age 28 - at home), her sister Essie (age 7), her sister Josephine (age 6) and her brother William (age 5)[7][8].
In 1892, Mabel (age 17), lived in Brooklyn, with Ellen Leonard (age 45), Julius Leonard (age 46 - worked as a saleman)[9][10].
In 1900, Mabel R. (age 24), lived in Richmond, Richmond County, New York, with her husband Henry T. Dumbell (age 27 - occupation not legible)[11][12].
In July of 1906, Mabel (age 30) and Henry (age 30), sailed on the American Steamer ______ (name of ship is unlegible), from Hong Kong on July 6, to Macao on July 7, to Amoy July 8, to Shanghai July 11, to Nagasaki July 13, to some place (the rest of the destinations are unlegible)[15][16].
In 1910, Mabel (age 34), lived at 19 Lenox Place, in Richmond, with her husband Henry (age 34 - worked as a cotton broker), their daughter Mabel (age 5), their son Henry (age 2), Irish servant Elizabeth Farney (age 24), Irish servant Katie Farney (age 21) and Irish servant Elizabeth O'Connor[19][20].
On August 17, 1915, Mabel (age 39), sailed on the S.S. Nieuw Amsterdam, from Falmouth and arrived at the port of New York in August of 1915 (no specific date is recorded)[21].
In 1934 and 1935, Mabel and Henry (worked as a cotton broker) lived on Ponus Ridge Road and North Cascade Road, in New Canaan, Connecituct[22][23].
Mabel Robinson (Leonard) Dumbell (age 59), passed away on June 7, 1935, in Connecticut and is buried in Lakeview Cemetery, in New Canaan, Fairfield County, Connecticut (although I believe that Mabel and Henry's graves were moved; I live nearby and have been to the cemetery, I've been shown the area/section of where they're buried but it seems that their stones are not there)[24][25].
