Biography

Joseph Leonardo was born in Sicily in 1885. He was the son of Vincenzo Leonardo and Maria Preso. He emigrated to Canada in 1904. He married Carla Rivard in Ottawa in 1906.

Joseph Leonard passed away in hospital on Wednesday, January 29, 1969, aged 84, of 899 Pleasant Park Drive, husband of the late Clara Rivard and dear father of Robert, Joseph, Alfred, Mrs Wilfred (Lila) Scharfe, Mrs Frank (Gertrude) Higgerty, Mrs Louise Semenchuk, all of Ottawa, and Mrs Joffre (Alice) Raymond, Pembroke. Resting Kelly Funeral Home. Funeral Saturday to St. Anthony's Church for Mass. Interment Notre Dame Cemetery.^[1]
