We also have a Help Index with links to topics you may have questions on.
Also don't forget to feel free to ask a question at our G2G forum if you couldn't find an answer on our help pages, (menu top right of your profile) . You can use the G2G forum to get assistance from other Genealogy volunteers to find a relative if you hit a brick wall. Just look on the right hand margin on the G2G page or click on Requests for Genealogy Help.

P.S. I've found the best way to research my family in WikiTree is to post what I know and connect to existing profiles when I find them. That way, you can ask questions in G2G from the profile you're stuck on & folks will know what you have already. Also, check out WikiTree's existing profiles for the surnames you're interested in at their surname pages - Billiard, McCubbin, and McCutcheon, for example.
I'm glad you found us. To become a full member (aka Wiki Genealogist), youll need to sign the Honor Code. For a list of helpful links, please click my name and check out the links under my "Greeter" section especially the Sources links and the link to Debby, a former greeter, who has helpful information on her profile page also.
If you get stuck on anything and can't find an answer in Help (upper right on a WikiTree page), you can post to the G2G forum or give me a holler.
Thank you for joining our collaborative tree!
Remember that our mission is to build a global tree with just one profile per person, so please look for duplicates before adding a profile.
Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, there are a few more features you may find useful.
Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards, including some tips on writing biographies.
If you need to describe an event, an heirloom or a location relevant to your research, you may like to learn about Free Space Profiles.
Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask via my profile page.
