Ciao! This is just a general check-in for members of the Italy project. I am checking to see who is still interested in being a member of the project as we go through some much needed restructuring. I was also wondering what teams you would like to be on. We’ve created teams for each part of Italy. North, South, Islands etc. They will be explained further in an upcoming g2g post. Stay tuned. For now, please let me know if you are still interested in the project and if you’d like to be a member of a team.

Ciao Chris again. I searched in g2g post and found the latest one dated Jul 6, 2019. I haven't seen most recent ones. Am I missing something?

Hi Roni

The Ireland Project (previously the Irish Roots Project) has now changed its structure into Teams. We require everyone with the Ireland Badge to be a member of at least one Team or Sub-Team and our google group.

See https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Project:Ireland for details.

The Teams are :-

1 Categories Team
2 Counties Team
3 Managed Profiles Team
4 Membership Team
5 Profile Improvement Team
6 Topics Team
7 Diaspora

Can you let me know if you’d like to stay on in the new project and which team(s) you’d like to join. Please also let me know your e-mail address so that I can get you added to the project’s Google Group or confirm you are already a member of the google group.

Many thanks,

Amy Gilpin Ireland Project Coordinator

Dear Roni, Hi,it's me,Derlin. Thanks for contacting me again.I really appreciate it,my dear.I found a direct Death Record for one Irish ancestor,Mr.Garret Clare. But I saw no mention of his parents names,or even a specific birthplace in Ireland.Even his Natrualization Record from Oct 1868 made no mention of his parents, just that he entered the United States in 1851 when he was a minor at age of 15.As for Thomas Coyle,I just saw a passing reference to his death in 1864 in New Orleans,Louisiana, but no direct Death Record so far.I also haven,t found his Naturalization Record either,Roni.Even tried looking for his Marriage Record in both the New Orleans Archdiocese Catholic Archives &the New Orleans Civil Records Archives, but sadly no luck.Well, best wishes,God bless you ,and Happy Holidays.

Dear Roni, Hi,it's me,Derlin Gerard Clair. Thanks for contacting me.No,I don,t know which Irish county my ancestor Thomas Coyle came from, dear. His 1860 US Census Record from New Orleans,Louisiana just says"Ireland",and other than his Birthdate of circa 1831,nothing else.Thomas probably came over during the Irish Potato Famine of 1845-1851,and settled in New Orleans,Louisiana.Really sorry that I have no further info about him to give you.Another Irish ancestor,,Garret Clare, according to his 1860 US Census Record, also from New Orleans,Louisiana, came from Wexford,Ireland, and was bom circa 1836.dear.Well,merci beaucoup,ma chere amie Lori, and God bless you,and Happy Holidays!

Thanks for rejecting that merge. I don't know how that request happened, I truly do know they were twin siblings. How are you related to Nathalie and Nathaniel?

This week we have your last stop on the guided tour. Hopefully, you're feeling like a WikiTree pro! If not, you can always revisit the tour stops via the comment boxes on the right side of your profile.

You've covered a lot of ground the past few weeks. Today, we want to give you just a few more tools that can take you even deeper into the WikiTree forest without getting lost: How to Dig a Little Deeper.

Roni

You may have been hard at work getting connected to family members who are already here and adding those who were missing. You probably have at least a few profiles that you manage now.

There's a fast and easy way to access those profiles using the Watchlist. So, this week we're going to look at How to Manage Your Watchlist.

If you have questions, just click my name above the comment, then ask in the comment section of my page. We want to help!

thanks,
