Violet Lester was born on September 12, 1892[1] in Murchison, New Zealand. Her parents were William Lester and Lydia Clutterbuck. She married James Black in 1924[2]. She died in 1971 in Palmerston North, Manawatu-Wanganui, New Zealand.
