Lydia was born in 1832. She was the daughter of Henry Lester and Lydia Husband.

Her Birth was registered at Dr Williams Library, Cripplegate a nonconformist Registry. The register states she was Lydia, daughter of Henry Edward Lester and Lydia the daughter of Thomas Husband, was born at no 6, Spread Eagle Street, on 28 May 1830 in Middlesex, England.[1]

In the 1861 census Lydia (age 29) was the wife of John Leitch in London, Middlesex, England.[2]
