Not in 1900 census with parents and siblings suggesting he was born after 1900.
Per 1920 census, he was born in 1905.
He moved by 1930 with his parents to Penn, Chester, Pennsylvania.
On 14 Aug 1930, he married Verna G. Hall; by 1940, he was working as a laborer in a fiber factory in Penn, Chester, Pennsylvania. His widowed mother and a niece lived with his family.
In 1950, he was enumerated in Parkesburg, Chester, Pennsylvania, working as a carpenter for a building contractor.
