Mrs. James Havlicek passed away in the hospital at Manitowoc, Monday, November 18, 1918. Her death was due to blood poisoning following an operation. Mr. and Mrs. Havlicek were residents in this vicinity until last spring, moving to Manitowoc where Mr. Havlicek was employed in the shipyards. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Letson and was 29 years of age. Her remains were brought here and funeral services were held at the home of her parents, Thursday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Huber. She leaves to mourn her departure her husband, little daughter, father, mother, two brothers, a sister and a host of friends. The bereaved family have the sympathy of all in the great loss they are called upon to bear. [1]
