1. 1 Interred at the Free Quaker Graveyard, on 5th st., above Spruce;

1. 2 Died on Wednesday last, Mr. Griffith Levering, of this city, ship-wright, in the 33d year of his age, after a short but severe illness, which he bore with that patience and resignation, which can only arise from a consciousness of a life well spent. He possessed all those qualities which form the character of a good man; and though fortune had not placed him in the most elevated station, yet his virtues rendered him inferior to none. He was humane, charitable and pious, and by his industry supported a large family, who are now left to mourn the loss of so good a husband, parent, and master.

We think this tribute due to the memory of a man, who when living meritted the esteem of all who knew him;

1. 3 At the house of Hannah Levering, In Front street, just above the Hay-scales, on Saturday the 11th instant, April, at one o'clock in the afternoon.

The personal property of Griffith Levering deceased. Hannah Levering, Administratrix Everand Bolton, Administrator;

1. 4 In pursuance of an order of the Orphan's Court for the county of Philadelphia, will be exposed to sale by public auction, on the 3d day of May next, at 3 o'clock P.M. at the house of Hannah Levering, in the Northern Liberties, the following real estate, late of Grifffith Levering, shipwright, deceased.

A certain lot of ground and dwelling house thereon erected, in the Northern Liberties, situate on the north side of Green street, 77 feet eastward from the northeast corner of the said Green street, and a certain 40 feet street being a continuation of Budd street; containing in front of Green street 17 feet, and in lenghth or depth northwardly 143 feet, be the same more or less. Also another lot of ground and dwelling house, next continguous to that above mentioned, containing in front upon Green street, aforesaid 17 feet, and in length or depth northwardly 143 feet, be the same more or less. The last mentioned lot is sold subject to the following claim of John Drinker of the Northern Liberties, shipwright, to wit. In pursuance of a parole agreement between the said John Drinker, and the said Griffith Levering in his life time, the said John Drinker agreeing to pay one half the ground rent recieved. (both lots being then in one, without any improvements thereon) and having also paid one half of the purchase money, the said Griffith Levering agreed to convey the said last mentioned lot to the said John Drinker, in consequence of which agreement, the said John Drinker entered upon and took possession of the same, and erected the improvements that are at present thereon, which still continues in the tenure and occupation of the said John Drinker; the said Griffith Levering died without having perfected a deed of conveyance for the said lot to the said John Drinker. The ground rent referred from the above mentioned two lots, being together seven pounds and thirteen shillings per annum, each lot is subject to the payment of a money of said ground rent, and also of what arrears thereof may appear to remain unpaid. What further information may be needful, will be given at the time and place of sale. Hannah Levering, Everand Bolton, Administr.;
