[The Brotman Blog is a genealogy blog that covers various members of the Brotman and Wiler families of Philadelphia, as well as several other prominent Jewish families. This blog is very well sourced. There is a vague connection to the Hanff's through Joseph Levy's first marriage to Fanny WIler who was part of the Brotman family. Joseph and Fanny's 4 children, who are [mentioned on this page]. You will have to scroll down to find the section. It starts off with "Fanny WIler Levy's three sons", as stated in the details of the 1910 census - see source below. These 4 children happen to be the older half siblings of Miriam Levy who was married to Arthur Hanff. Miriam and Arthur are also listed on the 1910 census living with Miriam's parents, Joseph Levy and Bella Strouse. Miriam and Arthur of course, later became the parents of Helene Hanff. Without this blog, I never would have discovered Miriam Levy's mothers name of Bella Strouse!!
