Note: The 1850 census shows that Eldred S. Lewis was 24 years old and born in GA. while the 1870 census shows him to be 46 years old, b GA. He was apparently born 1824-26. This early date shows that he was not the son of Ira H. Lewis. Other records from Henry Co, GA show that he was a younger brother of Ira H. Lewis.[1][2]
