Will - Grfath's 15 August 1690 John was named in his grandfather's will on 15 August 1690 at Accomack Co, VA. In his will John Lewis Sr., of Hunting Creek, gave son John Lewis plantation on Hunting Creek for life then to his two sons, William & John Lewis. To son Robert Lewis land on Hunting Creek. To son Richard Lewis land on Hunting Creek. To three sons John, Robert & Richard marsh land. To wife Lucresia. Richard Drummond Ex'r. Witt: Daniel of St. Thomas Jenifer, Nich: Hill, Richard Hill, John Drummond.

Land inherited 1697 He inherited land in 1697 at tract A108, north side Hunting Creek, Accomack Co, VA. John Lewis (wife Lucresia) bequeathed his land as follows: to his son Robert, the east end next to A107; to his son John, land west of Robert; this was only a life interest to John, as after his death it was to go to his sons William and John, and in a later division between them, William received the eastern part next to his uncle Robert: and to his son Richard, the balance of the upland at the west end. The marsh land was left to the sons jointly.

Will - Witnessed 29 July 1707 John witnessed a will on 29 July 1707 at Accomack Co, VA. It was on this date that Tully Robinson, John West & John Lewis witnessed the will of John Marvill.

Will - Witnessed 27 April 1708 He witnessed a will on 27 April 1708 at Accomack Co, VA. It was on this date that John Parker of Mattaponi, Elizabeth Davis, Elizabeth Pichee, A. Hamilton, Tully Robinson & John Lewis witness the will of Francis Makemie, wife Naomi.

Will - Mother's 30 September 1731 John was named in his mother's will on 30 September 1731 at Accomack Co, VA. In her will Elizabeth Lewis named son William Lewis. To daughters Elizabeth & Comfort. To son John Lewis my full right of 70 acres in Somerset County, Maryland, he to dispose of the same, and I give the proceeds to my grandson Josiah Lewis, & for want of heirs to my grandson Rodulphus Scott. To 3 children John Lewis, Elizabeth Scott & Comfort Rew. Son John Exr. Witt: Richard Drummond, Jacob Litchfield, Anne Drummond.

Will - Brother's 14 February 1739/40 John was named in his brother's will on 14 February 1739/40 at Accomack Co, VA. In his will William Lewis of Hunting Creek gave son William 100 acres called Hills land or plantation lying on back creek branch. To sons William & Thomas & Isaac & to my brother John Lewis all my salt marshes. To son John Lewis 1 s. To daughters Comfort & Lueser 1 s. Bal. of estate to wife during her widow then to be divided between my wife Anne Tabitha's children then alive. Wife & brother John Lewis Exrs. All my children by my last wife to live with their mother until they are of age. Witt: Thomas Riley, Jacob Litchfield, Robert Turnall.

Land sold 18 August 1741 He sold land on 18 August 1741 at tract Good Luck, Wicomico River, Somerset Co, MD. In a deed from John Lewis of Accomac County, Virginia to George Dashiell, it is recited that Elizabeth Lewis, mother of said John Lewis, was in her lifetime seized in fee of a parcel of land upon the north side of Wicomico Creek, adjoining the land of said George Dashiell, a little below Pass Indishe Creek, devised the same by her last will and testament dated 30 Sep 1731, to said John Lewis in fee, to be sold by said John and the value paid to Josiah Lewis, grandson of testatrix. He therefore conveys the aforesaid parcel of land, containing by estimation 45 acres, and now known as "Good Luck", to George Dashiell for a consideration of 22 pistoles.

Land sold 1768 He sold land in 1768 at tract A108, north side Hunting Creek, Accomack Co, VA. John Lewis Sr. sold 20 acres to William Young, it being at the east end and was later sold by the Young family to Richard Drummond.

Death after 1768 He died after 1768 at Accomack Co, VA. No death record for this John Lewis (III) has be found.
