Eva Dean, 96 Eva Lewis Dean, 96, of Davenport, formerly of Columbus Junction, died Monday, Oct. 27, 1997, at Colonial Manor Care Center in Davenport after a short illness.
Services will begin at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Stacey-Lewis Funeral Home in Columbus Junction, with burial in the Columbus Junction Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Morning Sun Library.
Mrs. Dean was born June 14, 1901, in Columbus Junction to Joseph and Elizabeth (Wamsley) Lewis. She married Floyd Dean in 1922 in Muscatine. He died June 10, 1993. She worked at the Iowa-Illinois Gas & Electric Company as a payroll clerk until retirement. She was a Methodist.
Survivors include one daughter, Mona Oberhaus and her husband, Jack, of Lakeland Fla.; one son, Floyd "Peck" Dean and his wife, Darlene, of Morning Sun; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
One brother, Lonnie Lewis; and three sisters, Lola Pine, Marie Lewis, and Joan Lewis died earlier.
