On 21 May 1905 her birth was registered in Brisbane Queensland, Australia, as Ada Amelia Lewis but for many years and well into adulthood she appeared as Amelia Ada [Millie]. Her parents were John [Jack] Lewis and Alice Waite.
Educated from 1911 at Coopers Plains State School, Beaudesert Road, Coopers Plains. The school was one of a few within the district to have name changes and Acacia Ridge was the first new name while much later, the Islander Independent Community took over the buildings and it became known as The Murri School.
About 1919 she commenced her occupation as a boot maker.
Married Alfred Arthur John Page at Stanthorpe Queensland on 12 February 1925 and they had three children named-Mavis Ivy Page, Vera Jean [Tuppy] Page and Gloria Anita Page.
They lived in Glen Aplin, Woodford, Ipswich, and Rocklea a suburb of Brisbane in Queensland.
After the death of her husband in Brisbane, Millie decided to visit her American war- bride- daughter, Vera, who lived in U.S.A. and who has established by 2020 quite a family tree in that country.
Millie's death occurred on 23 February 1984 in New South Wales, her latter weeks were spent in hospitals at Grafton and Maclean and a helicopter finally transported her to Brisbane General Hospital where radium treatment was given for her throat cancer.
Parent's names on the New South Wales death record are simply John and Alice. no surnames.
She was cremated at Mt. Thompson in Brisbane, Queensland.
