Biography
Louisa was the daughter of William Lewis and Jane Smith. She was baptised at Sedgley, Staffordshire on 11 February 1837.
1851 census: Sedgley, Staffordshire, age 14, born Sedgley.[1]
1861 census: Sedgley, Staffordshire, age 24, born Sedgley, in household of her parents.[2]
On 20 September 1864 she married the Rev. George Body, son of Josias, at Sedgley, Staffordshire.[3]
1871 census: Kirby Misperton, Yorkshire, age 34, rector's wife, born Sedgley, Staffordshire. Children: Mary A, 4, born Sedgley; Dora E, 3, born Wolverhampton, Staffordshire; George E T, 1, born Wolverhampton; Una M, 0, born Wolverhampton. Four servants.[4]
1881 census: Kirby Misperton, Yorkshire, age 44, clergyman's wife, born Sedgley, Staffordshire. Husband: George Body, rector, Kirby Misperton, born Devon. Children: Dora Emily, 13, born Wolverhampton, Staffordshire; Una Margaret, 10, born Wolverhampton; Laurence Ambrose, 7, born Kirby Misperton; Constance Mary, 6, born Kirby Misperton. Niece Mary Theodora, 8, born Upper Gornal, Staffordshire. Four servants.[5]
1891 census: Durham, County Durham, age 54, born Staffordshire. Husband George Body, 51, clerk in holy orders, born Devon. Children: Dora E, 23, born Staffordshire; Una M, 20, born Staffordshire; Arthur B R, 19, medical student, born Yorkshire; Laurence A, 17, born Yorkshire. Three servants.[6]
1911 census: Durham, County Durham, age 74, born Sedgley, Staffordshire. Son Laurence Ambrose, 37, teaching, born Kirby Misperton, Yorkshire. Granddaughter Angela Margaret Stapleton, 19, born Yorkshire. Three servants.[7]
Her death was registered at Durham, County Durham in the fourth quarter of 1918.[8]
